Newborn Nursery

During this rotation you will attend deliveries and care for healthy newborns on the University Newborn Service at Meriter Hospital. You will hone skills in neonatal resuscitation skills, newborn exams, and counseling new parents. You will also learn to recognize and manage common newborn disorders, perform circumcisions, and counsel mothers on breastfeeding through spending time with lactation consultants.
